Bornga [ 24 October 2014 ]

Annyeonghasaeyo! ^^ Food for thought today, how about some Traditional Korean Cuisine? Bornga located at Vivocity never fails to attract long queues on weekends! The vegetables that they provide you for veggie wraps are very fresh and are of wide varieties. Side dishes such as Kimchi, seaweed soup, sweet potato, salad, omelette and etc are also served. The menu doesn't have much choices but what's on the menu are the highlights of Korean cuisine such as Oxtail soup, Kimchi soup, Bibimbap ( mixed rice), paljeon ( Korean pancake), and their raw beef/pork slices which we ordered. The servings was relatively big but meat portion was small, so there wasn't enough to eat! Not to mention that it rather costly in here, ops. Ambience was okay and service was pretty bad because they were slow and bad attitude. All these side, all the dishes was good except the kimchi soup because it's merely just kimchi paste, not worth the money. Will be back for more!

Price ranging : $200-300

Bing Go Jung [ 24 October 2014 ]

Looking for some Korean Traditional Shaved Ice? Then here's the place that you must definitely come to! With a variety of food including tea, yogurt, French toast, salad, last but not least patbingsu! They have Injeolmi Bing su which is the most traditional, shaved ice with rice cakes and topped with soya bean powder! (Tried this) Milk and Red Bean Bing Su, Lemon Bing Su, Green Tea Bing Su, Coffee Bing Su and Oreo Bing Su ( Tried this! ). The Oreo Bing Su is really THUMBS UP, topped with oreo crush, vanilla ice cream and some whipped cream, definitely a great combination! It is a small space but yet cozy environment with Korean music to pump up the atmosphere, a great place to hang out and chit chat with your friends. Friendly staff, that lady over there is Korean! :D Their ice is unlike our typical Ice Kachiang which is abit rough and crunchy, Bing Su's ice is shaved and does not require munching at all. It just simply melts in your mouth (: And even though it is a big portion, the bottom is not fully just filled with ice, they have the fillings in layers too, not like ice kachiang all ice > <

*WARNING*
Very big and icy serving! One bowl can be shared amongst 2 or 3 person.
